Workshop Summary: Learn how to combine alpaca, merino, silk, and other fibers into a beautiful hand felted scarf. You will be surprised how light-weight these scarves are and oh, how soft! The perfect choice all year round. Great for weddings and casual events as well.
This is a full day workshop. The workshop starts at 10:00am and goes to 4:30pm. You will be standing most of the day. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a bag lunch/drink.
Class Cost: $120
Material Fee: $ 55
The material fee includes your choice of one of our uniquely hand-dyed silk scarves and all the merino, alpaca, silk, and other fibers/yarns needed to decorate the scarf. You may also bring your own yarn/fibers to accent the scarf or for color inspiration. Additional silk/roving will be available for purchase at the farm.
KEY BENEFIT: The material fee ALSO INCLUDES the use of all of our supplies to assist you in making the scarf. This includes plastic sheets, pool noodles, non-skid rubber mats, soap, scrubbies, water tubs, towels, scissors, spray bottles, Lycra strips, voile/tulle, etc. We save you the time in hunting all these items down and then having to drag them to class! This is a great cost saver too if you simply want to give felting a try without investing in all the supplies up front.
Payment is due to hold your space. Please email us your 1st and 2nd date choice. If we can accommodate your request, we will.
Have some friends and want to felt together? Private group classes can be scheduled for a discounted flat rate of $400 (up to 4 people) plus a $55 per person material fee.
